We have a wealth of knowledge of support available both within the centre and out in the community. Whether you need legal advice, to join a knitting group or our book club, get support around your domestic and family violence, find a health service, or a myriad of other things, we are here and happy to help.
Groups and Activities
We love the idea of having women connected into the community and connected to each other and one way we do this is through the groups that we run.
Having retired from full time work six years ago, I was delighted to see a notice inviting knitting enthusiasts to join a group who were producing blanket squares for the charity Wrap With Love.
From my first visit, I felt an affinity with the group of beautiful ladies, all keen to use their skills to create brilliant blankets for needy people throughout the world.
In addition, our cohort shares stories, knitting and crocheting tips; offers support to each other; enjoys a coffee together; and attempts to solve the world’s problems when time permits. I look forward to our weekly catch-up and enjoy the company, while also knitting and crocheting for a great cause.”
