Mahjong

12.30-1.55pm Mondays – There are many theories and legends about mahjong’s origins — most of them are unsubstantiated, and several are quite fanciful. A popular yet unlikely story is that mahjong was created by Confucius, the famous Chinese philosopher.  Played by 4 players, Mahjong is a game of skill, strategy and calculations but also involves a degree of chance. It is similar to the western card game rummy but is played with tiles.  Come along and be taught the rules by the tutor so you can join in this addictive game.

Orana Adult Learning classes are charged at $50 for your first class registration each term and $22 for any additional classes you add for that term.
